The New Year!
Happy New Year to all!
I hope that you all had a wonderful and restful break and are now ready to get back to work!
We are already working hard at getting our band chops back in shape and as such, have already had one practice log turned in. Please make sure that you are paying attention to the fact that practice logs are due every Monday. Your practice log grade will be lowered automatically for turning it in late.
Remember, I am available NEARLY EVERY DAY after school to answer questions and provide help! Come on in and get your practicing done here if you'd like!
What a great Concert!
Many congratulations to all the middle school musicians on a night of performances last week!
All of the middle school musicians did a great job, and I have been hearing numerous compliments about the wonderful concert. I'm incredibly proud to be working with such hard working and great students.
I hope that you all will have the opportunity to come to the High School music concert tonight at 7pm and experience the place that you will be in the near future!
I wish the best and safe travel as you enter the holiday season!

Middle School Band Concert
Parents,
Our Winter Band Concert is rapidly approaching! Please join us to listen to the wonderful work that your children are doing on Monday, December 12 in the KHS auditorium at 7:00pm! Your child needs to be there by 6:30pm to give us time to warm up before the concert.
As I am sure you remember, band is an activity in which we all dress alike. Attire requirements are outlined in the KMS Band Handbook that you recieved at the beginning of the year and are also listed below:
Boys must wear black slacks or nice pants and a white collared shirt.
Girls must also wear black on bottom and a nice white blouse. They may also wear a black skirt or dress that is below the knee.
All must wear all black, closed toed shoes.
Jeans, sweatpants and t-shirts are not considered acceptable attire.
I look forward to seeing you all on the 12th for a great concert!
LONG Weekend
You have a nice long 3 day weekend this week. Remember to get your practicing done and turned in by Monday.
This is the week in which I will NOT accept late practice logs, so make sure that you are responsible and turn them in by the end of the day on MONDAY.
Enjoy your weekend, and I'll see you all on Monday!
Progress Reports
Parents,
We are moving right along in band, and as this is such, students must be turning in their practice logs every week now. There are many students who have not turned in practice logs yet, and their grade will reflect that. Please understand that I see practice logs not only as a good way to track practicing, but as a chance for the student to show some responsibility as well. Please understand that there are many weeks left in the semester for the students to raise their grade if they are not happy with it. There are also quite a few students who have yet to turn in their band handbook signature page. The band handbook is ON THIS WEBSITE if you still need to turn this in. Like always, please email me if you have any questions. We're having a great time making music in class so far and I hope for the great improvement and growth to continue!
Thanks!
Mr. Wagoner
Practice Sheets
Remember that practice logs are due each Monday when you come back from the weekend. When practicing, try to do a little each day rather than all at once on the weekend. Playing your instrument each day will increase your technical abilities much faster than playing for a long time one day a week. You're all doing a great job, keep it up!
